The student whose records were viewed can contact the U.S. Department of Education Office of Family Policy Compliance and file a complaint. If this violation is part of a pattern, sanctions or disciplinary action may be taken against the College. FERPA affords students certain rights with respect to their education records. TCNJ through the annual notification informs all students of their rights including the right to file a complaint with the name and address of the “FERPA” office.
